CFreeVG10 data
CFreeVG10 (Cloud Free VeGetation 10 days) data sets were developed by using time-series model filter (named Kalmfit) applied for the 10-day composite S10 data of SPOT/ VEGETATION, NDVI & NDII. SPOT Vegetation 10-days composite re-processed data are ready to distribute on GEO Grid. Time-series model filter (named Kalmfit developed by Sawada et al., 2005) was applied for the 10-day composite S10 data of SPOT/ VEGETATION, NDVI & NDII from April 1998 to December 2007. The covered area and spatial resolution are N5-55 and E68-148 degrees (South-East Asia) and approximately 30-arc-second in a pixel, respectively.

Q. Download does not start after clicking a tile, why?
A. Since data size is large, a download start may take time. Please wait for a while.
Q. How can I visualize these downloaded files?
A. We don’t provide any visualization software. There is also no recommendation software in particular. Since it is the typical BSQ Flat Binary format, please use remote sensing softwares. Some open source remote sensing softwares will work.
Q. When a data is opened; one file includes 351 channels. What does the 100th channel mean, for example?
A. This product processes the data of the composition during ten days of NDVI/NDII created from SPOT VGT from April 1998 until December 2007. The 1st channel means the first week of April 1998, 10th channel means second week of June 1998. (48 scenes in one year.) The 100th channel means the data of the 4th week in April, 2000.
Q. It seems that the coastline is surrounded by the thick line. Why?
A. Since this originates in source data provided by VITO, the processing itself is not a problem. If it is the analysis for general terrestrial vegetation, even if the data of the coastline has an error, it is rarely influential. However, when you do near the coastline research, please use carefully.
Q. Are any special processings carried out for the sea?
A. We don't process such an area specially. The value of NDVI/NDII is only contained as zero.
Q. What does the digital number in each pixel mean?
A. It contains 2-byte integer value. After dividing by 10,000 it can be converted into NDVI or NDII value.

概要：
GEO GridではSawadaら（2005）が開発した手法を元に、SPOT Vegetation時系列データ(NDVI/NDII)に対し時系列モデルフィルタ処理を施し、 ノイズ軽減を行った独自プロダクト（CFreeVG10 data）の提供を開始しました。対象領域は東南アジ ア：北緯5度～北緯55度、東経68度～東経148度を東西南北10度メッシュで40タイルに 分割しています。1ピクセルの大きさは30秒（約1km）です。対象期間は1998年（4月）から2007年（12月）の351シーンで す。

A. データサイズが大きいためダウンロード開始に時間がかかることがあります。しばらく待ってみてください。
Q. ダウンロードしたファイルをどうすれば可視化できますか？
A. GEO Gridでは特に可視化ソフトは提供しておりません。また、推奨ソフトも特にありません。Flat BinaryのBSQフォーマットですのでオープンソースのリモートセンシング処理ソフトなどをお使いください。
Q. データを開くと一つのファイルに351シーン含まれるようですが、例えば100番目はどういう意味でしょうか？
A. このプロダクトは1998年（4月）～2007年（12月）までのSPOT VGTから作成されたNDVI/NDIIの10日間合成のデータを処理したものです。1番目は1998年4月第1週、10番目は1998年6月第2週、一年で48シーンです。100番目の画像は2000年4月第4週のデータになります。
Q. 海岸線が太い線で囲まれているように見えますが？
A. これは元データに起因するので (VITOから提供されるデータに含まれるバッファー) 、処理そのものは問題ではありません。 一般的な陸域植生を対象とした解析であれば、海岸線のデータに誤差があってもほとんど影響がありません。しかし、例えばマングローブ林を解析対象にする場合などでは注意して利用してください。
Q. 海については何か特別な処理はしていますか？
A. 特別な処理は行っていません。NDVI/NDIIの値がゼロとして入っています。
Q. 画像内の値は何ですか？
A. 2バイトの整数値が入っています。その値を10,000で除することで、NDVIやNDIIの値に変換できます。
