Experiment of the GEO Grid DEM and Ortho Images Generation Service
Overview of the service
The Panchromatic Remote Sensing Instrument for Stereo Mapping (PRISM) onboard the Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) “DAICHI” is a visible optical sensor that is available to observe the land surface with high spatial resolution. Stereo matching processing of PRISM data can generate highly accurate DEM and ortho images that overlap maps directly.
Users of this service upload PRISM data taken from two directions and choose some options of the generator. After several hours, they can download DEM and ortho images of the area. If you are interested in participating the experiment of this service, please enroll in the user registration page for the experiment of the PRISM DEM/ortho images generation service.

Copyright of Generated Products
Products generated with this experiment belong to the users. Also, users can give a third party a permission of a nonexclusive right to use products created with PRISM data that are able to offer high-value-added products. AIST asks users who purchase such PRISM data to recognize our right of nonexclusive use of generated products with them in order to improve the service. We appreciate your cooperation.

Preparation of PRISM data
Generations of DEM/ortho images with this experiment need one of the combinations of ALOS/PRISM Level 1B1 triplet data (forward 35km + nadir 35km + backward 35km swath wide)when observed in OB1 mode or stereo pair data(nadir 70km + backward 35km swath wide)when observed in OB2 mode. It is necessary for users to prepare input PRISM data by themselves.
We recommend the following combinations to make DEM/ortho images.
Northern Hemisphere: Master = nadir Slave = backward
Southern Hemisphere: Master = nadir Slave = backward
Although DEM can be made with other combinations, we do not recommend. Please pay attention to the production level and the line of sight when you purchase PRISM data.
AIST does not conduct sales of satellite data.
